Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences [Dept. of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics]

Course 11:373:101
"Economics, People, and the Environment"

I teach a large introductory course at Rutgers that I believe to be unique nationally. The course covers fundamental topics in micro- and macroeconomics in a single semester. Yet it pays special attention environmental and natural resources issues, making sure to embed the human economic system within the natural world. Much of the credit for the course's design belongs to my retired colleague, Dr. Leslie Small.
